For this project, I was particularly inspired by patterns and sketched inked drawings that can be found in old apothecary books or on older seed packaging. Thin lines with with careful detail. I also wanted to give it an older rustic style to go along with my initial inspiration which lead to the choice of using twine to hold the packaging together and decorate it.
I wanted the rest of the items to still have that style, but also be incredibly clean. I left a sizable amount of white space within the other pieces to balance the amount of pattern in the packaging. All of the patterns were hand drawn, inked and then image traced in illustrator.
